WHAT IS MULTISPORT?

Multisport is a versatile sport that offers a great opportunity for outdoor activities. The basic idea of the sport is to navigate as a team through a competition route using predefined modes of transportation, which typically include running, cycling, and canoeing. Along the route, there are also various surprise, or so-called quest, tasks. These tasks can range from problem-solving tasks to physical challenges. For example, in the 2023 Milosports event, quest stations included carrying sandbags, archery, and solving puzzles. The sport segments may not necessarily be in one stretch but can be scattered along the route. For instance, in the 2023 Milosports event, participants progressed 1) running, 2) cycling, 3) canoeing, 4) running, and 5) cycling, with various quest tasks in between. Multisport is an all-around interesting and addictive sport that is definitely worth trying.

FIRST TIME IN MULTISPORT COMPETITIONS

Milosports 2024 is also suitable for those participating in multisport competitions for the first time. Especially the Fun category offers a low-threshold option for beginners. Sufficient instructions for preparation can be obtained from the pre-event briefing, and additional tips can be found on the event's website and social media channels. Participants will need their own bicycle and helmet for the competition. It is also possible to rent a few bicycles from the organizer. Other event equipment, such as the emit timing card (available for rent), map, race numbers, and route books, will be provided by the event organizers. Participating in the competition requires some level of fitness background, but you definitely don't need to be a super athlete. You can enjoy the route at your own pace while appreciating the scenery!
